You can’t compare a 90 horse to a 225.
I wasn’t…just said I wouldn’t call it bullet proof.

Where did I say that? Geez, I’m getting senile.
Yikes, cost of new SHO is $20.250.00

with the fuel efficiency of a new four stroke yamaha it’ll pay for its self….but on a side note i would think hard before i would rebuild a motor of this size and 12 years old. even just hanging a new etec would be a better option in my opinion.
Well he has been here forever and you have been around long enough. I don’t expect you to know him personally but his name is sorta recognizable. Alot like BK & James.
Who is BK??
Started down a long winding road. Rebuilding my 2005 225 Etec. I found that the ring centering pin on #4cyl, broke or fell out. Causing the ring to collide with the exhaust port and break a chunk off the sleeve. Took the block in today for resleeving #4 and all new pistons (.20).
That’s awesome your tackling it.
Hung up the towel for the year or still hoping she’ll get out a few more times?
Best of luck!
That looks like my kind of fun buzz! I hope it works when your done. Did they check the crank to see if it was tweaked?
Buzz, how did the rebuild go? I am im same boat. Could use some advice.
