Quick question for guys running a 165 style. Will the trailer fit through an 8 foot wide garage door? I may be downgrading in size of boat and would like something that would fit in my garage.

Depend on the trailer..If buying new get the measurements on the trailer from your dealer or go there and measure a similar setup. If buying used again get the measurements.
Online a new one has a beam at 87 inches or 7.25 feet. Say you have 6 inches (just a guess) on each side for the tires and fenders. Not gonna make it.

It is a very tight fit though, 1 inch to spare on each side. I have only done this a couple times to store it there for the winter. I wouldn’t do it on a regular basis.
