Do I need a big boat for Clear Lake?

I have a Lowe 1542 Roughneck with a 15HP motor and I thought about coming up to Clear Lake this fall to try some musky fishing but I’ve never been on the lake and worry a little bit about my smaller sized boat. Obviously I’d stay off if it was windy and rolling, but by late Sept or October are the speed boats etc pretty much off the lake? Thanks for the help.

Also, any advice on a place to stay the night if I decide to make it a 2 dayer?

There are many smaller boats out on the lake. The Yellow Bass are also starting to pick up again hopefully it should be a good fall. Good luck to ya!
