Good two feet of ice on Chisago/South Lindstrom right now. Saw a fair number of vehicles out on Saturday, but opted to walk anyway.
Plenty of crappies out there right now. Suspended anywhere from 11 feet on down (over 28 FOW). Glow in the dark jigs/crappie minnows. The first 1/2 hour around dark was nuts…more like vertical jigging than fishing beneath a bobber…they were pretty aggressive. No monsters, but nice eaters. Wont’ be long, they’ll be looking to move to the shallows.
