That’ll teach ya!
I guess when a shovel gets to that size it doesn’t have too many preditors and wouldn’t need to get away too fast…except for the fast water of spring and maybe a musky or large pike.
That’s amazing though…Ma Nature tagged it!
That’s awesome Tyler. That’s one of the things about fishing that I like too. Every once in a while you come across an oddity.
Too much butter on that one, it slipped and got away!
Did you guys have a good night?

That is crazy. Did it look like an injury or a birth defect?
Looked completely healed up. Couldn’t tell if it was an injury or not, but certainly not a new wound.

Same fish
Looks like the snout got hit by a prop mabye.
BK is not into chewing tail so I dont belive it was him.
Mike Tyson a fishes?
That is crazy. That whole part of the snout cartilage?
No bones in Lake or Shovels.
Could have been jumping and hit a prop as mentioned earlier.
Far fetched? Steve Fellegy had a musky come flying out of the water and hit a client of his. Certainly a fish that’s known to jump frequently could jump into a prop.
What in that area could take a chunk out like that? To few pike around…Peppi?
How far can you travel in a boat with the prop out of the water? Is that how ‘Sconi’s boat on the Croix?
Buddy of mine caught this little laker on the Rainy this spring.

I’m starting to think it’s you Tyler.
Me too! WTF?
If it matters, I did catch Tyler’s lost rod in 4 mile bay this spring. That’s the story of all stories. I forgot what was on the other end of the line… tag # ????
