Not sure if I can post this but the NextBite TV show is doing a show on Alligator Gar fishing on the Trinity river in TX. If this is not okay to post please dust it I’m just trying to keep us entertained until the ice melts and we can fish again.

The show airs 3 times weekly on The Versus Network:
Tues. – 1:00 PM ET (12:00 PM CT)
Thur. – 5:00 AM ET (4:00 AM CT)
Fri. – 8:30 AM ET (7:30 AM CT)

Save that walleye you have in your avatar for bait…should be able to get at least one good one off of it!

Your not kidding BK, those are some monsters and the river doesn’t look much bigger than the Minnesota River. Amazing the beasts live in such a small river. The guide was Capt Kirk Kirkland, isn’t that the same one you went with?

Yes it is…I think the MN River is wider to be honest. If someone were to tell me there was a fish over 100 pounds in the Trinity where we fished…I would have laughed.

The back of the boat in this photo was up on shore…and it was a muddy shore!

Please tell me there are no swimming beaches on that river. I just got the willies!

He would make me wade with dead chickens strapped to my legs.

With all those teeth that would make for an interesting new dance or should I say you would be walking on water to get away.

I loved the shot of the guy sitting on the ground basically hugging the fish. Then, the fish thrashed and knocked him over. That guy must have pooped in his pants!

He said he saw stars when the fish “slapped” him in the head.

There’s a snippet of in-fisherman video where they get a double. Looks like they were at the Trinity. Both fish go into the boat, and guys are jumping on coolers and seats to stay out of the way! It was a 5 minute segment about various eagle claw hooks.

I saw it on You Tube, but it was removed. Love that real player download feature…
