So I got a boat but no title. Am I able to get it titled in my name with just a bill of sale.
Minnesota won’t give me a straight answer.

I bought a 1992 Lund WC14 from the second owner of the boat who never uses it. Tried to register it. Woman looked of the hull ID and said I need a bill of sale from the guy I bought it from. Got that and went back to register it. The guy that helped me said I didn’t need the bill of sail and I got the stickers. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.
How old a boat? What’s it’s history?
boats 16 ft and under are typically not titled in Minnesota. Per Minnesota 2020 boating guide page 14, “Certain watercraft over 16 feet are required to be titled in Minnesota”. Canoes and kayaks over 16 ft are excluded.
