Boat electrical question

    I have a jon boat that I am putting a bilge pump on and a small LED light bar. Question is, how do I know what size fuse to put in line? Please and thank you.

    I would think a 10 amp on the bilge pump and a 3 amp on the lights.

    Skip the fuse and get a resetable circuit breaker for each circuit you run. A few $ more but worth it.

    Here’s a chart to tell you what the amperage limit is for wire gauge and length.
    You’ll also want to know what amperage the bilge pump needs to draw. The LED lights will use minimal amperage.
