I always enjoy reading fishing reports or season recaps from Canadian fishing lodges. I can’t be in Canada fishing all the time, but I can always daydream about it…

Here’s a cool season recap from Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge in Manitoba with their biggest fish of each species caught.

Biggest Fish of 2018: Aikens Lake Wilderness Lodge, Manitoba

From first fish ever caught to incredible wildlife encounters to laughter shared over a drink at Big Molly’s, Aikens guests experienced many special moments in 2018. As always, the world-class, multi-species fishing at Aikens produced many of the memories guests take home with them and cherish well after their Aikens Experience is over.

Purely from a size perspective, none of those fishing moments were bigger than these catches highlighted below. Congrats to these Aikens guests who caught the biggest fish of each species in 2018.

Remember… next year, it could be your name on this list!

    Walleye: 32 inches

Mr. Drew Stephens, Whitefish Bay, WI
Trophy caught and released on July 26 using a jigging rap, just minutes before Drew and company planned to take a break for shorelunch.
