    With the eminent weather change and a favorable wind on Wednesday evening I was able to sneak out of work early for a sit. On my way to the woods I called my friend and told him it was way warmer than I was hoping (73°) and I wasn’t expecting to see much… And I actually only saw 1 deer but he was the right one! He came out with less than 5 minutes of shooting light and browsed around, even moving down wind of me for a heart-stopping minute, before he finally gave me a broadside shot in the last minute of shooting. He was an old deer and weighed 233# field dressed.

    To top it all off, 3 of my best hunting friends were able to meet up with me for the recovery and a few victory beers!
