Battery cable size

    I am installing a new house battery and a 6 way fuse block. Need to know what size wire to use between the battery and the fuse block. There will be two depth finders (not run at the same time) bilge pump only running as needed. Live well pump LED interior lights and navigation lights. Maybe a total of 30 amps running through it at the most. Thanks Al

    No less than 8 gauge would be my recommendation. I ran 10 gauge to all my locators and never have issues with them shutting off when starting motor.

    8 gauge,and use high quality tinned marine wire and terminals.
