My advice is to stay on your own if you feel you can adequately promote yourself without the resort. I personally don’t rely on bookings through resorts at all. I mean, if Everts sends someone my way I’ll take it but I’m usually in a situation where that type of referral goes to waste as it’s usually a last minute thing and I’m typically booked anyway. And some resorts want a cut for the referral and that dog don’t hunt in my opinion.
With other ways to get your talents and abilities out in front of perspective clients, like this website, the days of being tied to a single resort should likely be behind us.
