Anyone ever tried Fish Lake for bass? It’s close to my house and wanted to give it a try sometime but haven’t seen much about the fishing on it.

Lot’s of “Fish Lakes” out there.
Which one are you referring to?
Metro area forum, so would assume maple grove.
Distant family use to have a house on it decades ago, great fishing back then was told. Nowadays it’s your typical metro lake, lots of lil guys with occasional big fish showing up here and there. Don’t think you’d get to many people saying any lake is great fishing in the metro area online bc it’ll be pounded instantly.
Any water is worth fishing IMO.
I live near it, too. I fished it for bass several times 4-5 years ago. I caught a some decent fish but not a lot. I don’t have a boat right now, but I would fish it again. It’s a busy recreational lake.
They recently treated it to reduce phosphorus levels and improve the clarity. It’ll be interesting to see the results. Here’s an article on the treatment:
Thanks for posting the article. I missed it.

I saw the big barge out there and had to find out what was happening!!!
Fish Lake in Maple Grove is a pig pen.
Fished a small club tourney there a few years ago (September time frame), and the winning bag was 6 fish for 22-23lbs. Winners caught them on frogs on the pads and soft plastics on docks.
Nice body of water.
Good luck.
Docks and pads? Sounds like a dark lake-The report says secci of 5 (dark to me) but in the description it says visibility to 8′ (clearish to me) so is this lake usually dark or clear?
Can’t speak to “usually”, as I’ve only fished it once.
But, it’s a highly developed metro lake…gonna be dark-ish from fertilizer run-off alone.
It was dark when I fished it.
