Found an article on the interweb about a fellow whose monitor died and he rewired his camera into a 7″ LCD monitor for a rear-view system on an auto….$30….

I think you could it with a LX6 or 7….
If you use a camera too that has a video-out you should be able to do that easy, need a 110 power source for the monitor….this one is 7″ and LCD 12V so a flasher battery will work…
After opening the case it look like I could put the camera control stuff in a small box.wire this to the plug from the camera,add power and go….
I can take some pictures of the wiring on my unit and post the link for what I read if anyone is interested….
No luck…..Well, I thought I’d give it a shot….
I’m gonna look some more around town….Maybe I’ll try myself..
Knowing what I do know….this should not be too tough…
