Ok last week i took my chainsaw and cut a 15/15 open hole, to use my new bait-caster the wife got me for my birthday. I just couldnt wait so i did that and when i was done i didnt have enough trees to mark my hole. What should i do before someone goes through. Getting to think about i think someone might have already went through. Any suggestion on what to use to mark it??? NEED HELP!!!

Don’t do anything. Just make sure to drop a waypoint. Snowmobiles, atvs, heck a few human ribcages will make a helluva fish crib for ya. waytogo

You could have just tied a weight to the line and cast it in the back yard for less effort. How long did it take you to remove all that ice? If it is a 15 foot by 15 foot hole I am sure all the ice chunks that you removed will act as speed bumps or ramps so cars can duke-of-hazard the hole.

True but I wanted to fish with it. It took me 1 1/2 days with 2 quads

Did you catch anything? What lake is this on? The river is open and some other places are open. The drive would have only take ½ hour to 2 hours at most depending on where you are.

I have no clue what state you’re in but if you’re in Wisconsin you’re restricted to a 12 inch hole or smaller and that would have been breaking the law if you were fishing in that hole

Obviously you aren’t the smartest tool in the shed…everyone knows you cover a 15’x15’ hole in the ice with a 25’ spruce. Anything greater you go with a wheeping willow. Amueture.

Pretty sure I’d need a bigger hole to try out a bait caster…
