Ya know. They have these meeting when the average joe fisherman needs to be working. Only the people that are paid can attend. If anyone can make this, I would sure be interested in a summary.

Keep in mind these are the people that can (and are) changing the river (good/bad?) for generations to come.

    /end of rant

Present An Asian Carp Roundtable Discussion
    September 4, 2014

“The Director of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, in coordination with the Chief of Army Corps of Engineers, the Director of the National Park Service, and the Director of the United States Geological Survey, shall lead a multiagency effort to slow the spread of Asian carp in the Upper Mississippi and Ohio River basins and tributaries by providing technical assistance, coordination, best practices, and support to State and local governments in carrying out activities designed to slow, and eventually eliminate, the threat posed by Asian carp.”

Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA) of 2014

With these words, the groundwork has been laid for having the Federal Government take the lead in dealing with what has always been a national problem.
Asian Carp know no boundaries and are a threat to every waterway connected to the Mississippi River.
