Who is the Wilds head coach? Are they sticking with the re-tread?

    Who said bum?

I wonder if you asked Joe himself, if he feels he deserves the Hall of Fame having not won a single playoff game. We all know the public answer he’d have to give. But I’ll bet the private answer is much more complicated.

Mauer was a great player, good human being and role model.

But it’s difficult for me to heap too much praise on a guy who went 0-10 in the postseason. Never won a playoff game, much less a series.

I really wish I could hope for some deadline help. It just seems futile. I think the only way the Twins ever win another title is just a small market miracle.

It does seem very odd that rally goers could have seen the shooter with a gun before secret service or other law enforcement did. Not like there were a lot of buildings around and tons of hiding spots. This was pretty much a rural setting with only a couple buildings.

Having said that, it sure sounds like the rally goers who notified local police likely saved lives, including Trump’s.

Crazy photo with the bullet whizzing by Trump’s head.

Some horrific photos from Iowa right now. South of Sioux falls SD got like 18 inches over the last few days.

    That’s insane.

Looks like a couple days of 80s but I am seeing a cool trend out after that. Got a couple sources saying highs in the upper 60s and low 70s in the Brainerd / Mille Lacs area which is pretty crazy for end of June. Not much swimming for the kiddos yet this year …

Looks like I was wrong about the series being over, too. Kinda hoping it goes to a game 7!

Offsides challenge is a joke and an embarrassment to the NHL

    Totally agree.

Looks good Glenn! I love homemade pickles.

I’ve been able to can salsa which has been very good and I’ve done “fresh” Pickles before. But I haven’t done preserved pickles. In part, because I didn’t know where to get the little ones in bulk.

If I can get the time (new puppy and two kids) I might have to get over to Becks and then PM you for your recipe!

From drought to flood! Good to see moisture return to the earth but feel bad for anyone with damage.

Happy Fathers Day gents. I threw a curveball and took my kids to the Twins game. It was their first time at Target field. We walked in and saw two dingers in the 1st inning. Great day with my kids waytogo

Very rare appearance for me at Target Field today. But my kids are 8 and 12 and never been to a game before so figured they were due. Walked in to see 2 homers in the first, fun way to start! waytogo

Agree with getting more of a refund than that. The no cell service probably complicated it more. RVs are very expensive to rent in general. Would have been way more from a dealer. I would support leaving a negative review if they won’t negotiate a little more.

Highly disagree with Air BnB and VRBO though. We almost exclusively use them and although not perfect, MUCH better than what you pay for a hotel. And we’ve had maintenance issues with hotels too.

We also had a bum rental car once. Sh/t happens.

Well that about does it for the Oilers. Edmonton fans have to be pretty depressed. Was hoping for a competitive series- guess not.

I think all the NTC were a mistake. I mean if we were gonna suck anyway why give out no trade clauses to a bunch of scrubs. Hope I’m wrong, but I think the Wild are a long way from being competitive.

For the life of me I just don’t understand staring at a screen constantly while fishing. Sure I glance at my 2D here and there and like having mapping for safety on big water as much as anything. But I also enjoy watching eagles, fish surfacing, the clouds, waves, really anything nature.

I was on the mud this past weekend with my kids and we were pounding the walleyes and I never marked a single fish on my 2D graph. Meanwhile a guy was buzzing around us starting at his FFS and we were out fishing him and his buddy (they EACH had FFS) like 4 to 1.

    Yes, that was satisfying. cool

Nothing to worry about. Leaving exposed all season would certainly speed up your wear and tear. A few days no problem.

We were watching the Reed Timmer feed. A pretty serious tornado on the ground south of Aitkin for awhile. I haven’t gotten any damage reports, yet…

Thanks for all the input guys. I believe most of this is spot on.

Mine is a 2014 Reata. My confidence level in rough water has grown over the years, but have to admit taking a couple over the bow has reduced my confidence a bit.

In doing some reading and digging up old threads it does appear that this issue has been brought up in the past as well. No boat is perfect for all applications there are pros and cons. I am confident when I punch the throttle I can lift the bow and handle most anything I’d get myself into.

I have a 150 Yamaha 4 stroke and 3 blade stainless prop. Interesting on the 5 blade suggestion I will have to consider that and/or other props too.

    Thanks BC, thanks Matt

I was wondering about trim tabs. I’d rather not put them on if I don’t need. But I was taking the kids out for some slip bobbers in the evening the other night probably 3 ft waves. It was rough but just on the edge where spot lock was still effective. Anyway on the NE corner of Mille Lacs it stays shallow for a good ways so I can’t fully control the trim and throttle how I’d like without digging the prop into the sand. We speared a wave pretty good and soaked everything pretty good was a little bit of a buzz kill for the kids cause it wasn’t overly warm out. Never happened before in the Sportfish.

I’ll play around with the trim and I’m sure I can do better with overall control. But feel like my hands are kinda tied in shallow water.

Yeah the main thing is very slow speeds. Trolling into the waves or trying to get out of shallow water (where I can’t punch the throttle or the prop would dig)

    Thanks for the reply Ron
