2010 Wisconsin Fall Turkey Regs – New Change

I was reading the regulations for Turkey season this year and found that in the fall it will be legal to hunt turkey’s with dogs. This does not make a lot of since to me. Can anyone explain the resaoning for this? I prefer using decoy’s, but find it wierd that it is illegal to use a electronic decoy for hunting, but the DNR is going to allow dogs.

Using dogs to find and bust up a flock is the traditional way to hunt turkeys in the fall. Dog busts birds you and the dog hide and try to recall the flock.
