This last weekend I was in Thailand for work and I drove to a pond that I know contains lots of Mosquitofish. You can call me crazy but that was my goal to catch. I knew they were there but I just wanted to get some more specimens for my outdoor water garden. They do munch on mosquito larvae. Anything that can be caught with hook and line interests me even if I have to drive a few miles. This is my smallest lifelister.

I also stopped at a fishery where you can by native fish for planting in your own private pond or secretly in your favorite fishing lake. I usually do the later.

Anyway they sometimes have some really rare and cool specimens. I ended up buying these for my aquarium but what I wouldn’t give to catch one of these in the wild. They are here but really rare.

The first is a Narrow Banded Tiger Perch.

The next one is a Spotted Archerfish.
