First ice trip a success

Well it could have been a disaster due to lack of preparation. It was a spur of the moment outing as I scrambled to locate gear. I seamed to have misplaced my ice jig box.. battery on flasher at 25% and so on…

Once gear was loaded in vehicle I stop at H.O.F. to give Tom a holler and charged my unit a bit and was off.
arrived at the lake.. popped three holes and set up shack to find out that somehow some way two of the poles to the shack slipped out and we’re left in garage..
what the heck I came this far and I wasn’t gonna give in. Set the shack up as best as it would banked it with snow to kept it up from the wind and proceeded to put a hurting on the pan fish.. ahhh.the sweet taste of success. .

If everything went as planned in life it would be so boring. Right ?

Nice job on sticking it out and reaping some rewards at the end

We need to make a point to hook up this winter for a trip out

I expect so much more from a avid ice fisherman.

we should get a few dates for the Rochester area to get together. Do some afternoon to evening bites and maybe a hot tottie at Fishermans.
