Going down St.Pete way Friday

Anybody having luck down that way? Is it worthwhile to fish flats or should we stick to channels?

My buddy who stays on top of things says the flathead spawn is in full swing down there with not many big fish (if any) showing up the last week, just the wee little guys.

Channel cat bite on the other hand is a different story. Pretty good.

You think there are rogue flats coming off the spawn down there?

I’d tag along if you wouldnt mind another. My parents live down in LeSueur. I’m guessing if you’re fishing the north end that you’re by my cousin’s place.
