any one looking to catch lots of small mouth, 12-18″ in length. drift from the carp trap bridge on the south end,(hwy 55 access, around the corner to the left) drift across the flat in 8-9 ft of water, with a leech at about 6 ft with a bobber. last weekend, looking for walleyes, found about 20 of these in one pass. (about 1/2 hour). a kid definitely won’t get bored.
I am going to Koronis this weekend. Where is the carp trap? Is it easy to find?
the trap is in the southeast end of the lake. if your launching off hwy 55, then go out into the lake and go around the first big point to the left, follow to the bridge. the trap is on the other side of bridge. we just threw out a boober with jig and leech in 8-9 ft of water, with the jig about 2 feet off the bottom. The south wind pushed us north about 1 -1 .5 mph. the bass hit us hard and often. good luck.
