Can I expect a high speed reading of (depth only) when running at 40 mph with the standard included transducer in a new Helix si 7inch?

Depends. Each boat is different although with some adjustment you should.
I get two D readings but nothing on the down and side imaging with my Solera. But I’m not done messing with it yet either.

I did get readings at 40+ mph but I didn’t like the spray so it was adjusted. Now I don’t have the spray but don’t have a reading either.

At 25mph I don’t get an accurate reading with mine in the pontoon.

    Yup.

Read the mounting instructions for proper placement.

Embrace the spray. Cobble together a deflector and go fishing. waytogo
