big chip crappie report

    Guided again this morning on the Chip out of Treelands Resort. We crappie fished again this morning, and they were a bit more sluggish this morning, we got them on Double A Jigs under a bobber at the mouth of spawning bays in the weeds, but it wasn’t as good as yesterday, we ventured into the bays but it didn’t help. Everybody we talked to today said the same thing, the crappies were a bit slower today, when we left at noon water temps were 58.

    P.S. we are seeing a ton of muskies spawning, we have seen 5-6 everyday, biggest being about 45 so far! Getting excited for musky season!

    I’m not familiar with Double A jigs. Do they have a website? Which size/variety of Double A jigs are you using?

    its just a rat tail jig made by a guy from milwaukee, I don’t think he has a website. I really think any jig would work, I don’t think they are a magic bait.
