Any physical or visual way to tell the difference between the GT and CV SideVu transducers?

My CV transducer was grey and my gt is black.

Other than the labe on the cord which has the part number and model, thats about it i think.

It appears the Bundles are still being sold with the CV ducers.

Originally the CV’s were grey and the GT’s were black. Not any more.
Look at the transducer’s on Garmins website and depending on the GT
some are Black some are Grey.

I put 2 Echomap 73sv on my boat. Still learning them. What is the difference between them? I seem to remember a stink about a lawsuit or something that caused a change. Is there a difference in the settings in the unit between the two divers? Thnx.

Yes there should be a label about 3 feet from end you plug in to the unit.

Also forgot if you plug a trans ducer into a unit, it will also tell you the model.

The GT has the dedicated DI crystal. The CV does not. The lawsuit was the reason for the CV.

From what I have heard from garmin reps is that if you are fishing in less than 30 feet of water there shouldn’t be to big of difference to really tell anything.

I don’t know man. My Humminbird with the HDSI ducer is know where as clear as my Pops’ Humminbird DI ducer. Maybe Garmin processes the data better than HB, but my money is on the GT being better.
