Fishing on the St. Croix near Stillwater?

    I was thinking of trying a little fishing tomorrow and was wondering if it would be worth my time to give the St. Croix around Stillwater a try. I thought I might launch at the DNR site north of town and then try in and around that area. Anybody have any suggestions for that area of the river? Maybe I would be better heading south instead (Afton area?).

    Dave,
    I fished from Lakefront Park up to Clyde’s today. I did not do well. That’s not to say that the fish aren’t biting. I just didn’t have much luck.
