Bob, as promised A+ Sales will be sending another $250 down to you the week of the 8th.

Everybody here should be proud the way a bunch of “fishin’ guys” have stepped up!!

Donation sent. Sorry it took so long…just got back from Devils Lake. I wouldn’t be alive without cancer research so this donation was simply a no brainer! Props to you for taking an active role in a great cause!

Brian originally asked for 35 people…. guess how many people have donated so far.

51 IDO members so far have given at least 10.00 today. Simply amazing.

Not to derail things, but I had one once waiting for take out. I thought, that is an odd tasting beer. THe next day I found out it is known as a woman’s beer.

Now back to the post. Great work by the IDO brotherhood!

A bluemoons one of the best moons for a good catfish bite. The time when the moons closet to the earth or a super moon is one of the times when the catfish can use their sight, although its limited it still aids in homing in on their food, such as a minnow or any other kind of baitfish. When a bluemoon comes and when it happens during highwater and in the creeks, after the water from the creeks clears up its during this time when the catfish bite becomes very good. Its a better bite by far then when the light enters the water of a super moon.

The Bluemoon happens when its on its waning side and during the dark of the moon, when the catfish have to use their sense of smell, even more then during a time of faintly lit water like on a full or super moon. The Bluemoon is especially good in June or July when the females are getting ready to spawn and have a tremendous apatite. You pair their heavy feeding with the Bluemoon and it becomes a very good bite. It doesn’t matter what kind of bait you use or even if there’s any bait on the hook, they bite like crazy but it has to be on a red hook. I’ve heard of some very nice catches of Channel catfish and during this time the flathead fishing also becomes very good too. And at times you don’t even need a hook, line or sinker. If anyone believes any of this story, hand me another Cold Bluemoon.
