Rust

Here is my problem. Over time I’ve accumulated a lot of fishing lures. I keep them in a cool and dry place. Aparently it’s not cool and dry enough because some of my older lures/jigs are getting a little rust on them. Nothing major, but let’s just say they don’t look brand new anymore. Whenever I take a box out on the lake before storing them again I leave the trays open to dry out. Most everything is stored in plastic tray boxes and old tackle boxes. Unfortunatly I don’t have anywhere in the house that’s dryer. Anyone have an idea for me? Are there any products out there to coat them? Any storage tricks anyone uses? Thanks!

VCI Pro Chips Rust inhibitor. I use this product in all my boxes. Nothing worse than finding a box full of lures destroyed by rust. Cheap insurance to keep rust at bay.

x2 on the vci it works great. on the lures that u have with rusty hooks u can simply sharpen them with a hook file and they will be sharp again.
