I’m trying to help a freind who’s father passed away. He doesn’t know if it runs or not. There isn’t much on the motor but a serial number 4423-39650 Any help telling him what he’s got and monetary value would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My guess would be a 15hp Evinrude. Maybe worth a couple of hundred bucks if in good running shape.

The exposed plugs and tipped-down prop/lower unit makes me think it is more like a late 40’s, early 50’s 5 to 7 hp. It appears to have a two blade prop, common on the smaller outboards. Looks like an integral tank too?

If it runs maybe up to the 2 c-notes mentioned.

Can’t tell you a year but the model name is “Ducktwin”. The angled lower unit helps shed weeds when running in areas that duck hunters might run. The “twin” refers to twin cylinders.
