    a hockey tourney in mid January. We will have some time to ice fish on Saturday afternoon.

    Any advice for Lake Bemidji would be appreciated. I have never fished it and don’t think any of the other dads have either.

    Have a blast in the tourney and good luck.
    a couple of years ago we did the same thing, hockey tourney and all. we did bring our gear and didn’t have the best of luck. we stayed at the hotel just out of town right on the lake, there was a bunch of houses just off the shore so we thought how cool waling distance to fish. boy were we wrong. not a thing but a bunch of good laughs and a couple of bottle bass. the spot looked good based on the number of permanent houses on the spot.
