Way to throw Carey Price under the bus Montreal brass… none of them yelled “Reinbacher”

“Congrats to Vegas and thanks Nashville for hosting and we want to say hi to all our fans at the McDonalds on 3rd and Liberty street, the Arizona Coyotes select….”
June 28, 2023 at 6:57 pm #2210928Simishev pick pushes another player maybe not expected to be there down to the Wild…
RipjiggenPosts: 10565June 28, 2023 at 7:00 pm #2210929Not really it’s not as if he were projected to go outside the top 20. Doesn’t make a difference if he goes 6th or 16th for the wild.
RipjiggenPosts: 10565June 28, 2023 at 7:03 pm #2210933he was expected to go mid 20’s….
by who?
Wheeler had him at 18 Proman at 12.
NHL.COM had him at 14.June 28, 2023 at 7:05 pm #2210937pretty much every mock draft I’ve looked at for the past few months…
RipjiggenPosts: 10565June 28, 2023 at 7:19 pm #2210938Weird I just randomly googled and looked at 4 and all had him inside 20. You must have some secret sources.
Must be the same ones that told you about all the fireworks that were going to happen to get into the top ten and Montreal moving out of the top 5.CaptainMuskyPosts: 19605RipjiggenPosts: 10565RipjiggenPosts: 10565June 28, 2023 at 7:34 pm #2210942Salt Lake City clearly isn’t worried about getting guys to come over from Russia.
June 28, 2023 at 7:56 pm #2210949We’re not getting a center…
Ritchie and Stenberg should still be there, if not they might be forced to pick D if somebody like Axel-Pellikka slips, too good to pass up… Detroit loves those Swedes so he might go 17th
RipjiggenPosts: 10565June 28, 2023 at 8:15 pm #2210965Moore to the Jets?
wheew.. not sure Chicago takes another center and Seattle has Beniers and Wright already… Moore might slip to the Wild… Pearrault might be available too (I think Chicago takes him here at 19)
tswobodaPosts: 7821June 28, 2023 at 8:27 pm #2210970So do we take Perrault, Stenberg or Ritchie?
If we take Perrault maybe his dad can teach our centers how to win faceoofs?
June 28, 2023 at 8:33 pm #2210971Stramel? Ovey…
Lets HOPE it was the crappy Badger team that tainted his production
RipjiggenPosts: 10565June 28, 2023 at 8:37 pm #2210972“Well we think he was rated higher. Any other draft he would have went top ten. We coveted him from the beginning. We can’t believe he was still there. We see him in a top six role.” Blah Blah Blah…
Big Yawn
Now we can discuss where he fits into what line five years from now.
I’ll go first.
4th line maybe 3rd if Freddie breaks both of his legs.tswobodaPosts: 7821RipjiggenPosts: 10565June 28, 2023 at 8:43 pm #2210974Quick glance guy was ranked somewhere in the 30’s to high 40’s.
Maybe Joe can tell us where he saw his rankings on him in the teens.
Gitchi GummiPosts: 2704June 28, 2023 at 8:44 pm #2210978Let’s hope he just had a full freshman year of “Boldyitice” and blows up his sophomore year… I didnt watch him at Wisconsin but he looked good at the World Juniors…he was a 2nd round player though…Gotta put our faith in Judd I guess…
tswobodaPosts: 7821June 28, 2023 at 8:48 pm #2210979Pronman had him 23 but was lower pretty much everywhere else. Feels like they drafted for need and wanted size and a center with low ceiling/high floor. Stramel/Perrault could be like Ek/Boeser but without the happy ending.
RipjiggenPosts: 10565RipjiggenPosts: 10565June 28, 2023 at 8:52 pm #2210981Like every draft that you pick in the 20’s it’s a flyer on a guy you hope keeps developing and hopefully hits even though it’s more likely don’t.
However he is one of us so local sports writers should have plenty to write about.
