Like every time I leave the mountains to return to this place my wife calls home, I get home sick and want to go back to where I feel I belong. Spent the last 12 days in Colorado/Wyoming scouting some new hunting areas, camping/ATV’s, and dropped down to the front range for some P/dog explosions.

It’s always kind of nice getting back home after a long trip. Except for the unpacking part, that’s no fun.
That’s just the fix I need! I won’t be making it out west this year but already have 2015 planned. After last years hunt, I’m just about ruined hunting around home. Don’t get me wrong, I still love whitetail hunting but elk are now at the top of my list. As my kids get older, I have already warned the wife of my plans of hunting out west every year… at least one state:)
