Rochester Goose Hunting 11-9-08

Sunday morning started off cold and wind from the NW around 15 mph. Some light snow flurries blowing around. Almost right after getting set up and getting into the pits, we had a flock come from the west. They came with the wind and worked back around into the pocket. We landed the first two just up wind of the pits and had the big flock almost touching the ground when we called the shot. Everyone came up shooting and we ended up with 6 out of that flock.

Shooting 8 out of that flock was a good feeling. Totally for the day we ended up with 17. Not a limit for the day but a good day any way. There were not as many birds to work today, but we did well with what we had.

Bear with his bird!

Bear with his bird!

Here is happy boy not wanting to let go of his goose!

Until next time, good hunting and shoot straight!
