Rainy Lake hotter than a pistol

Beautiful opening day on Rainy Lake south wind about 8 mph in morning. Walleyes were snapping from the get go. We pitched jigs in 4-7 ft of water off small poits or small minor extenions of windward shore. We caught just under 40 walleyes by noon, along with a couple nice Rainy Lake smallies. We were able to keep three nice limits of eyes, throwing back the majority. Largest of the day was a twenty four inch walleye. Clients Peter and Dan got a sore arm and a little sunburn

Back non the water today!
