Green Bay Big Eye’s Pike and more….

Crazy week up in the bay this past week with some serious sick numbers of big fish. Crazy thing is I got into a awesome jigging bite with gulp for these monsters out in the gin clear water! We caught some tanks as big as 32 inches along with some big pike and get this………we found a nice big school of lakers and browns. ……. Those darn trout do not leave me along! :-)))

Trolling bite is solid all over the bay, 90 percent of the fish are duming or done spawning unless you make it out to some of the off shore islands to fish up north where there still are prespawn fish.

Going to make it out on the water with Babe Winkleman next week so hopefully the fish keep on biting……………..

  1. Great Job on the Monsters !!!

Two more weeks before I get my behind over there…

    too late ?

    Hope not !!!!

    Good Fishing !!!

  2. No this bite will be good for a long time, you have to move with the schools of fish and changing water temps and baitfish in the bay and try to pattern the fish that way but if you have contacts up there the fishing will be solid for a while if your just looking to catch a bunch of 2-5 lbers with an occasional 30 incher pensauke and sumaico are the place along with the lower bay with cranks like flicker shads reef runners and crawler harnesses, for big fish slid out to the 20-30 foot depths during the day and that’s been the way I’ve found some big schools of post spawners. Then you also have the chance to cast and jig those bigger fish.

Never too late up there it’s just a matter of finding the fish……and battleing the waves…..

I’m going to film a show with this week with Babe Winkleman on Mon and Tues of next week out in the Bay so that should be a blast!!

  3. Wow, what a batch of beautiful fish! Thanks for the report. Looks like next time I go to visit the relatives in Suamico, I’d better bring the boat!

  4. Thanks guys and best of luck if you make it out on the Bay! I may make it over to Lake Wisconsin soon to try it for some big post spawners my buddy has been doing well…Never enough time!
