Floren Goetsch & I went out this afternoon

Floren Goetsch is from Racine, WI and camps once a year in September near Richland Center. He has been in the area for 6 days. He finally wore me down and we went fishing this afternoon for 3 hours.

Floren and I have been fishing together once each fall for 6 years now. He fly fishes with his own fly he invented called a Pink Beaver. He has quite good success with it. It is bead head nymph in a size 10.

Last year when Floren was here he caught really nice male brooder rainbow. It was his longest to date trout from the Driftless Area. He also caught another 25 in 2008.

Floren and I went out this afternoon and the weather was good to us. It was slightly overcast and water temps were good. We landed 32 trout between the 2 of us. Floren scored his biggest trout to date today on the last cast of the out. Floren decided to call the mall brown “Junior”
