New water I had never fished. Was way upstream at the headwater. The water was icy cold and very clear. The trout
were very skidish.
We went out this morning and a little
of early afternoon. Rich landed 25 on
the girdle bug. He caught a mixture
of browns and brooks. Biggest brown
was 14ish and biggest brookie 12ish.
Rich had one brown break him off
that was about 18 i guess.
I batted clean up and caught 18. Mine
were a mixture of browns and brookies.
Biggest browns 17/16/16/15 inches.
Biggest brookie 13ish.
Rich Femling is owner of rose creek fly boxes and net released. It is the second time we have fished together.
Excellent work gentlemen! Rich is a great guy to hang out with, though I’ve never fished with him. Makes a mean flybox that I use more for icefishing than anything else. Check out Rose Creek flyboxes when you have a chance!!!
