Wabasha Bite today Sept 20

Well I went out to try and find wally !!!

However I could only manage to boat one 21 incher..

He fell prey to a black bucktail..

I Was vertical jigging 14 feet of water on a rock break.

The crappies saved the day again. They were more then willing to smack my offerings.

However the were running smaller today.

The 3 biggest taped at 11 inches.

The rest were between 8 and 10 inches.

The sunnies were also on a tear..

I ended the day will an even dozen Crappies.

The walleye’s for me right now are tough.

I can only manage 1 or 2 and thats the name of that tune.

Hopefully with the temps dropping the eye’s will put on the feed bag so that even I can catch them.

When I came into the landing Steve Beno of Wabasha was loading his boat, and he had a nice 30 inch Northern that I had to put on film. Way to go Steve. He was trolling the Chippewa rocks with a shad rap.. That should eat up real nice. Good job.

Well this will be my last report until after the MWC..

Good luck and let the Big ones go.

  1. Nice report Greg. Small world. Steve Beno just married my Mother-In-Law [x-wife’s mother]a couple years ago. Haven’t met him yet but will someday. Thanks for the report. Thanks, Bill
