Door County Green Bay

Now that we are in the mid part of November it is with out a doubt that the open water fishing season is coming to a close in most areas of the mid west. It will not be long before it is over for me but not before chasing trophy Walleyes for the next couple of weeks in Michigan’s Little Bay De Noc.

Reflecting back on this season that once again went so fast I have so many great memories of the season of not only great fishing days but meeting and sharing the boat with so many different people and making friendship and memories for many. One of my favorite was the week spent with all the guys from IDO and Rapala on Lake of the woods for the Scatter Rap Challenge not only was it a blast and great fishing it meant a lot to me to finally meet everyone in person and get to know each other on a personal basis.

Even though the open water season came late for most of us it was alright because like most of us I am sure we all enjoyed some extra time on the ice this spring. Each season always seems to bring more and new opportunities which is always exciting I am one who likes to do new adventures and try new techniques and not always are they a success but many times they are and that is what will set you apart from the rest.

This season I gained a few more fishing areas along with some new techniques that were very rewarding and fun to fish and next season will bring opportunity for more. Oh yes wait this season is not yet over time to continue focusing on what is next and yes that will be some cold weather Walleye fishing for a little while yet.

  1. If you are reffering to LBDN I am just getting in to town tonight and will be on the water tomorrow. I was here two weeks ago and spent just a handful of hours on the water and caught over 20 fish and losing several all casting during the day time. I will be guiding mostly at night the next couple of weeks but will also be spending some time casting for fish during the day.I will post info as we fish.
