I was searching for a rod and decided to stop in and I was impressed by how much fishing tackle and the brands they had on hand now. Has to be one of the top stores in the state, I don’t see anyone really ever carrying 10xd and 8xd other than online.

IMO rumors of Gander’s demise are greatly exaggerated. The Woodbury store has reorganized and picked up its game very nicely considering a Cabelas is 1 freeway exit away.

I would prefer NOT to lose another outdoor retailer.

Totally agree. I don’t know what they were thinking. They finally put a store in a close-in suburb and then they… go small?????

The only thing the Woodbury Cabelas is good for is the free shipping to store thing and then you essentially get free returns.

I remember being excited about the woodbury store when I lived in MPLS as we finally had one close enough to drive to within a reasonable distance. Went there once and that was enough for me.

Go to the woodbury cabelas almost weekly. I dont think its that bad. Seem to have a much better selection of rods and reels than gander. Cabelas has sales that no other retailer has imo. Driving home from ice fishing last night and the forest lake gander was closed at 7 bawling

Yeah, they normally stayed open until 9! Hard to get there during the week when you have stuff going on. I always like waiting for traffic to clear and head up there later in the evening.
