Has anyone on Ido ever stopped there?

From what I’m picking up, it’s kind of a hidden gem.
    No phone,
    No internet advertising
    Just word of mouth.

They serve channel and flathead…and that’s all I know for sure.

I did find some review and they were mostly all positive with a couple funny ones mixed in.
The owner is a talker and makes his guests feel at home.

We stopped there twice last year on our St Louise trip and both times they were closed. I THINK they’re only open on Friday-Sundays. I’m planning a river trip this summer with the hopes of dropping in when they’re open…or staying until he opens. LOL!

    Brian,
I can confirm that the fish shack is a great place to hang out on a Saturday night, I cannot confirm the hours but it is a spot I have frequented and on a warm summer day overlooking the river with a cold Busch Latte, it really can’t be beat! I think i’ve had their food, but may have had too many Busch lattes and don’t remember. jester

We plan on leaving May 26th and should be down there over the holiday weekend. With the gas prices as they are, I’m planning on keeping the horses to a walk and not a gallop as with the last trip.

Now that Iowaboy said we shouldn’t go…

IF you come down May 26th, bring your flathead poles, the kitties should be biting!

    Brian,
I wanted to let you know if you do come down on 5/26, i will actually be in the Wisconsin Dells for my parent’s 40th Anniversary, sorry. Still bring your flathead poles, and there are also a couple of small ponds by the swimming pool in Guttenberg loaded with bait. toast

The river gods may have blessed the fish but I doubt anything else… )
