Has anyone used rain x on shooting/sunglasses and or boat winshields? I wouldn’t have a problem on glass but these are mostly polycarbonate or some type of plastic. I’m going to buy a pair of Wiley X glasses with the gasket in them and would use rain x to prevent fogging if it won’t hurt the lenses.

What an awesome idea for the windshields. Think I’m gonna try it out either way.

I don’t know what is in rainx. Most of the items are said to only use water on and I would not know how it would affect the coating. Anyone have a scratched up pair they are willing to test it on?

Rain X makes a coating specific for plastic. I have a bottle and it works GREAT. I have never tried using regular Rain X on plastic, but I would guess it would work alright?

They suggest applying RainX to the lens on the case of a GoPro. That’s plastic.
