My livewell pump is not running on my 2011 impact 1675 .
I wanted to check if I am getting power at the pump.
    The fuse is good.
How do I get the cap off the pump to test the circuit?

Cut the zip tie that has the excess wires and look for the splice. You have Brown and Black at the pump and a Red/White and Black in the bundle. Might have a broken/corroded wire at the splice point or just a bad pump.

Cut the wires and put power to it. If pump is bad gonna have to anyway. If pump works gonna have to replace bad wire. Gotta cut either way.

Eyecatcher- the cap is actually the pump cartridge. Push the locking tab and turn the cartridge then pull out! Check the power to the wires first like James said. The pump impeller may be stuck and free up by turning it and run. Replace it anyways…. it will stick again. The worst part of the whole job is re-splicing the wires. Heat shrink on the butt connectors will save headaches down the road!

Definetly stuck and by removing it and spinning it will get it going and last the year. Seems to always happen the first time after storage for winter.
