Trying to chose between these two units. I know the kids will love it for summer clear water fishing. But here on pools 7 and 8. Which one would be better for the hard water season. The 620 has a .05 lux camera and the 625 has a .01 lux camera. I THINK the .01 is better for the stained water or darker conditions. Is this correct?

    Thanks in advance!

    That is absolutely correct !!!

The better the low light the better picture you will get on the screen…

Sounds like you answered your own question !! Your going to love that camera

Well that answer leads me to another question. I thought that B&W cameras were suppose to be better in those low light conditions? I also thought that BK shot all of his pool 4 videos with a B&W cam. BK, is that true? Or am I going crazy?

Dave, do you use either of these cams down on those PDC pools? If so, which one do you use?

    Thanks,

You are right with the B&W being better in the stained water… the 625 will let you use the B&W in our dirtier water and then the color for cleaner water…

I can rarely get a real good pic in our backwaters with the color screen… but the B&W is real nice !!

I have been without for the past season…sold my 620 last summer.. but the 625 is on my list this year

I don’t ever recall using the VS-620 on pool 4. Guess I did once for a Scheels demo video.

When the cameras get down past say…30 feet and there’s no light penetration, a color camera looks like b&w. There needs to be light to have color.
