Kabetogema and Namakan

Wondering about the walleye fishing on Kab and Namakan up in Voyegeurs. Used to be that we would get quality fish and plenty of them on Namakan in particular. It seemed to go south though but I have heard that they have implemented the same slot that is enforced on Rainy and that maybe things are turning around. That would be great. Namakan is such a beautiful lake to be on and it used to be a ton of fun when the walleye bite was good. Can anyone attest to the quality of the fishing or lack thereof?

I had a chance to fish both lakes last September. Fishing was okay, but not spectacular. We caught a lot of fish in the 12-14 inch range and a couple around 25 inches. I have to agree with you on the part of it being beautiful lakes, doesn’t get much better.
