Morning all!!….Well it’s time to get the boat ready for the upcoming season… .. I am planning on fishing in some local tournaments this year and need to do some work on my live well. Its not aerated, but I’ve figured out how to take care of that problem. I don’ think the live well would be big enough to hold a five fish limit…(assuming I catch five fish… )…I checked bass pro’s web site and they don’t show any live wells.. any one have a source or web site that I could visit. I have a 16 foot Starcraft, not sure what the live well measures but it is small.. thanks for your help…

Just do what I did. Go out and get a nice sized cooler. Then you can take a piece of small PVC pipe and drill holes into it. Mount that to the inside of the cooler. Then take a pump and hook it up to some plastic tubing. You can set the pump into the river or lake and pump water into the cooler. Then after its full of water you can hook the plastic tubing up to the PVC.

This has worked great in my 16′ flatboat. I think it all my cost for my livewell were under $70.00.

Cabelas has them, as do most boat mfgrs. alumacraft, crestliner and lund. one note, my alumacraft has the LW on the left and i can definatley notice the boat tip when i add even a bit of water. i would suggest centering whatever system you might go with. chuck

BASS magazine always has an add for someone selling a livewell.

Yes BK I think someone played a dirty joke on me and got a subscription to GRASS CARP magazine
