Minn Kota has released a new product for 2005, the Minn Kota Maxxum Pro with lift-assist stow and deploy. Now shipping. We also have the new Maxxum line which includes the Max 70 and Max 80. Check out the new Minn Kota Maxxum Pro at Jolly Ann Marine.

I’ll have the new Power Drives and AutoPilots listed soon!

    Wade,

Thanks for posting this link. This new feature although small to some, huge for me. Lifting and dropping the trolling motor 30-50 times a day takes its toll even on a seasoned angler. My new Maxxum 101 will definately have this feature….and you can bet I will be buying one from you in the future!

Definately a great feature! The lift-assist stow and deploy won’t be quite what the Genesis was, but it is supposed to reduce effort by 50 percent. That adds up over a long day on the water. Here is a link to a brief article on the Maxxum Pro. Let me know when you want one Steve. Maybe you can be one of the first to let the rest of us know how well it works. The feedback from the early test was positive from what I hear.

    Wade,

Is this new Maxxum a cable-drive or electronic? It looks like the motor pictured on your site is electronic, like the power drive/auto pilot.

    Thanks.

John, The Maxxum Pro and the Maxxum are cable drive. I don’t have the new images on the site yet so don’t let the pics fool ya. Sorry about that.
