I’m looking at purchasing a new reel and have been happy with my Tatula bait caster and would like to try a spinning reel. What’s a good reel for around 75$ from Daiwa?

I really like the Fuego LT. Smooth as silk, Can cast a county mile, run about a hundred bucks.

The BG is also very good. I think that’s about $75. I have a couple and have been really impressed.

BGs are great reels, my only complaint is the bail doesn’t always open up completely for me if I am not careful. I’ve thrown at least 3 lures attached to leaders into the great abyss before becoming conscience of making sure I have it completely open.

At $69.99 the Legalis can’t be beat. It is smooth as silk and the drag feels like a $150 drag. I own three of them and have used them HARD over the last 1.5 years. If you don’t want to spend the extra $30 on a Fuego the Legalis is probably the best bargain reel on the market.

I have recommended them to 4 friends who used them last season and all have been very happy with it.

I’ve had a Legalis for 3-4 years and have been very impressed. Thinking about buying one for my son this year–maybe he should get the hand-me-down and Dad will get the new one. )

I have a Legalis 3000 on my shore casting rod and it casts nice with a good drag. Would recommend for the price point

I have a Ballistic 3000. Does anyone know what you use to take the set screw off that allows you to remove the main shaft?

The Tournament SS reels are decades old in design. But their drags are smooth as silk. Other reels have more features but I have never been disappointed with this reel, all these years.
