Chequamegon Bay, WI – pike and inland bass report

Just a quick update on my latest fishing adventures. Actually I am behind in fishing as I took a nice vacation and also had some motor problems which are solved. These pics are from 2 recent outings. I was invited by Curtis Johnson to catch some largemouths on Fish lake near Trego WI. We had no wind and bluebird skies and yet managed a great catch of bucketmouths. Most of our fish were caught on Mann’s Rats in thick slop. We also caught a couple 3 lbers on the weed edge with Black/Blue flake YUM Dingers. What a great pencil bait. Ok, so lets see how this goes using this new fishing report site. Everything looks great James! Keep up the good work.

This photo is of Kyle Von Ruden a bass tournament fisherman from near LaCrosse, WI. I was excited to get him and his brother out on the bay a few weeks ago and this is what he caught for his effort. A beautiful 17 lb northern! Unfortunately the seiche was incredible all day long and the smallies wouldnt even look at artificial baits. I had never seen the seiche continue as strong as it did that day for the entire afternoon. Things are back to normal quickly though! Good Luck and be safe.
