What an effort! Even though they didn’t win, that was one he’ll of a 3rd period and series!

Blaming the game on that one shift is idiotic. Game is 60 minutes long plus overtime. Ample chances on both sides to win it in regulation. Both teams made mistakes and great plays. It’s been a great series. Am pissed off at Nyquist, and it sucks. But overall the whole team has far out kicked their coverage and kept up with Vegas winning two games and taking two of the losses to ot. That’s a credit to the whole team and coaching staff. Nobody had them being even remotely competitive in this series. The ref’s haven’t been stellar but they haven’t been horrible either. We’ve probably gotten more no calls than Vegas. So can’t blame this series on the ref’s. Coaching has been way better than expected. My biggest gripe is Nyquist. Jojo and Hartman have played well. So has Trenin and Rossi. Gus has been unbelievable and Boldy and KK are up at the top with goals and points in the league in the playoffs. A few bounces here or there and the series is over either way. It sucks losing, but the series is 3 to 2 after 5. Pretty d@m good for the boys imo. Again, hate moral victories but this has been a heck of a close series and the wild has played very well overall.

As far as bringing in one top end player once the cap hits are off the books, I’d much rather see quality players spread across all 4 lines than one over paid aging super star. Especially with the way KK, Boldy and Gus have shown up in the playoffs. And how things went haywire without KK and Ek on the ice.

Hopefully Gus can play game 6 and we get a few bounces. Win or lose they’ve played a great series and took Vegas to 6 games and hope for a 7th. Am impressed with the effort overall.

If they lose this game Ohgren deserves a shot in game 6. Am so done with Nyquist.

He did it once, it almost worked and he went right back to it. Absolutely awesome and love his effort!

Sounds like Merrill is going to replace Zeev in the lineup tomorrow.

Zeev has been awful. Surprised it took this long. He needs a bit more time to season in the regular season and he’ll be fine. Merrell is not perfect by any stretch, but he’s played far past any expectations for him this year.

Rossi has more points and goals than Boldy did in his first playoff series. The toi Rossi has is a head scratcher. No bump up in lines. No more toi. No real acknowledgment of his production for minutes played. Have liked the teams performance this series, but still question BG and some of his mental ticks and choices. As much as the future seems bright, am not completely sold on BG.

Goal tending is the only reason the wild are tied 2/2 with Vegas.

Great win! The announcers are redonkulous. That last play was glaringly evident his wrist got hit and even the officiating crew knew it reviewing it. Then the announcers are like oh yeah, I guess he got his wrist. No duh! Luka and James could be so much fun to watch if they stopped the constant whimpering at the refs. Play ball and just stop. It’s all the time on every single play. The wolves didn’t even play a great game but kept at it. The minutes killed both Luka and James. They completely ran out of gas.

Absolutely hate moral victories. But this team has nothing to hang their heads over. Not everyone is going to play great every game. They’ve competed with Vegas every single game. Granted Gus is playing incredible, but even still. Boldy has been a beast. Foligno has gotta be beaten up from all the hits. Trenin and Rossi have played well. Wish we could swap out Ohgren for Nyquist, but I think the coaching staff just trusts Nyquist defensively a touch more. Middleton had a bad mistake and it was a bummer they capitalized on it. Gus did everything a goalie could do there on the initial save. Being this competitive in a series nobody really even had the wild have a chance at is impressive. I know the team and individuals on the team have warts and issues, but being tied 2/2 after 4, I’ll take it. Zeev has had a rough series but is looking a little better each game. Brodin and Faber are just machines. Vegas definitely defended KK different game 4 and it worked. Could question a lot of things from Spurgeon on the ot pp, to you name it but it is what it is. Like Hynes being willing to move pieces around. If Gus can even remotely keep this kind of tending up for 3 or 4 yrs and BG can add a few more pieces to this team and get rid of some others the future looks bright. Like the fight and tenacity of this team way more than the ZP/RS years. Am proud of the boys and the effort so far. Yeah it was a heart breaking ot loss, but it was a he’ll of a game and been a great series. Nothing to hang the head on imo.

It’s incredibly well done. From the camera work, to the editing, to the music and showing how much work it actually is. Showing when things don’t go well is so much different than the pitching of how great product x is in most fishing content is truly refreshing. The polished product pushing and pimping gets so boring.

To quote Tom Reid after period 1. “Stay the course”.

Exactly! Vegas ain’t gunna just roll over.

Was a good game from the wild overall. The depth is a glaringly obvious issue. Hope I’m dead wrong and somehow the team can dig deep and a couple guys can get hot scoring goals, but didn’t think Vegas played their best hockey and could easily see this being done in 4. Could see the wild win a game, maybe 2, but Vegas would have to do a lot wrong and the wild would have to play perfect and Gus would have to stand utterly on his head. After watching this team all year they don’t play consistently night in and night out like Vegas is prone too. The lazy stick penalties might start coming into play for the wild as the series goes on and that could be a series killer. Will be super interesting to see what Hynes does from game to game with no real great pieces for the bottom two lines to find even a goal or two in this series.

I don’t understand the salary cap issues much at all and especially in the playoffs. Bra-zslow shouldn’t be in the line up at all. Nyquist is donzo. Vinnie and Ohgren are way faster than either of those two statues. Could see the nerves on Zeev, but his offensive uptick could almost warrant putting him at forward on this team in this position, I know, unheard of.

Boldy was lights out the best player on either team on the ice last night.

    Hartman had a good game.

Spurgeon just isn’t built for playoff hockey at all.

Faber and Brodin seemed fine. Middleton was borderline ok.

Other than the one pass to Boldy KK’s passing just doesn’t work in the playoffs, especially against a team like Vegas. Foligno was a non factory. Trenin had a couple really good plays in the dzone. Freddy tries hard and was actually ok.

Hynes needs to get some speed injected into the lines and be done with the Brazeau and Nyquist. Don’t care what they traded to get them, get them out of the line up. I’d take my chances with Vinnie and Ohgren.

The only dman I’d put with Zeev is Brodin.

Gus wasn’t stellar but he was good enough to win. Can’t pin the game on him.

Vegas is a better, bigger, constantly consistent team. They don’t take stupid penalties, they are deep and yet can still be beaten.

Not sure what you do with Rossi currently? He doesn’t really fit in with any of the bottom 3 lines.

Not sure if KK will get a goal in this series. Will scratch out assists, but don’t see him being a goal factory against Vegas with the lack of space they are giving him.

Ek is the only net front guy we have and he isn’t able to take on the whole team in front of the net.

Congrats to Boldy and Hartman for good games. If the majority of the team doesn’t get off the wagon and start pulling or pushing this will be done in 4 or 5 games.

Nothing like a game finishing just shy of midnight on a Sunday night.

    Boldy kicked arse all game.

    Did Rossi even play tonight?

Zeev, uff dah. Tough spot to be put in.

If only we had someone on our team who knew how to QB a successful powerplay…

Not thrilled with Hynes forcing Boldy to do it. That is not even kind of Boldy’s game. He looks awful there and don’t blame Boldy for that one. That’s on the coach. Am absolutely done with that ignorant stupid experiment. Put Spurgeon back on the first unit and Faber on the second. Move Rossi off the first and put Jojo on it right now. Rossi is not playing well at all lately.

Well that was a cute little OT effort. How did Faber end up getting 2 on 1ed almost immediately?

I’m not falling for that trick because I sense chum in the water…

I’ll bite. Rossi lost his guy. Boldy tried to cover for him. Faber dropped the ball. Gus let it under his pad. Bad goal by Gus, should trade him, Faber and Rossi in a package deal.

At what point does just getting to the playoffs warrant riding players like rented mules just for the sake of saying, we got to the playoffs just for F’s sake?

Yeah, they’ll get playoff experience….but more than likely get their arses handed to them in the 1st round.

Faber and Middleton have looked out right awful lately. Maybe Faber just needs more minutes on ice per game? That’s a joke.

Who is Rossi? Does he even play on the wild still?

Boldy is jekyll and hiding. It’s a crap shoot who is going to be steering the ship in that empty brain cavity.

Spurgeon and Brodin aren’t looking great either.

Probably the most consistent players through this rough stretch have been Gus, Freddy and barf in my mouth Merrell.

This is just a team with to many missing nuts and bolts to hold together long term and it’s indicative of the injuries and cap hit.

If they play perfectly, get good puck luck and Gus plays solid, they “can” win. If anything is off at all and off early, good luck.

Am completely done caring if KK or Ek are back for a playoff run. Especially if they aren’t 100% healthy. Am going to roll the eyes when the team tries to pitch the oh they are back just in time to make a big difference in the post season. Yawn!

Gus needs to be perfect for this team to win right now. Dude needs a break

I agree. For a large majority of this season, the improved goaltending is what has kept them in the hunt for a playoff spot compared to last season.

Agree with both statements 100%. This team isn’t in the playoff picture without Gus at all even kind of.

Rossi and Boldy are just invisible lately. Gus was way off his game. The defense as a whole was brutal. The amount of bad pinches looked like a coaching decision because the forwards aren’t getting anything much done offensively. And so many odd man rushes.
